Dear Habitat Friends and Neighbors,

We're thrilled to share some exciting updates from Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Texas (Habitat MCTX). January was a busy month filled with progress and community-driven initiatives, and as we step into February, there's more to look forward to. In January, we were on fire with four new house starts! Thanks to the dedication of our volunteers and staff, we've made substantial progress in building homes and making a lasting impact in our community.

As our projects pick up pace, we could use some extra hands. Volunteers are crucial to our mission, and we invite you to join us in making a difference. Whether you have a few hours or several days to spare, your time will contribute to the success of our initiatives. Visit our website or contact us directly at volunteer@habitatmctx.org to learn more about how you can get involved.

This February, we're reflecting on Presidents Day and celebrating the incredible legacy of Habitat for Humanity advocates Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter. Their unwavering commitment to affordable housing inspires us, and we're honoring their contributions throughout this month.

We're also excited to highlight our ongoing advocacy through the "Habitat on the Hill: Cost of Home" campaign. This nationwide initiative addresses the critical issue of affordable housing. Explore the campaign details on Habitat International's official website to learn more. Your support and engagement in spreading awareness will contribute to our collective effort to make housing affordable for everyone. Recently, Habitat MCTX staff met with Congressman Morgan Luttrell, District 8 and Matt Hodge, chief of staff for Congressman Dan Crenshaw, District 2, and held discussions with the staff of Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn..

Thank you for being a valued member of the Habitat MCTX community. Together, we're building a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

In Gratitude and Partnership,

Sponsor Spotlight - Fitness Project

Habitat MCTX depends on donors and sponsors to support our commitment to constructing safe

and affordable homes. This month, we are excited to have Fitness Project as our spotlighted

sponsor. Beyond being a place to exercise, Fitness Project is dedicated to building a culture

of health, engagement, and connection to help people transform their lives in and out of the gym.

During the tough times of the pandemic, Fitness Project joined forces with Habitat MCTX. Now,

as things are getting better, it's great to see that Fitness Project is sponsoring half of a house

in Cedar Creek for the third time. We appreciate the dedication of Fitness Project to making

a real difference for our partner families.

Habitat MCTX ReStore Deconstruction Program

Discover a sustainable way to build with the Habitat MCTX ReStore Deconstruction Program!

When you enroll in this program our volunteers will carefully remove materials from your home,

in preparation for remodeling, and those items will be resold through our ReStore. It's great

for people who care about the environment, like property owners, remodelers, and builders.

Not only do you get tax deductions, but money from the resale is used to help provide

affordable housing in Montgomery County.

By doing this, we recycle materials and reduce the need for dumping of construction waste.

This helps make the future greener and more sustainable. Affordable used building materials

are available at our ReStore, which is a win for homeowners, remodelers, landlords, and rental management companies. Whether you're a homeowner wanting to expand, a property

buyer planning to build, or a builder looking for an edge, join us in saving resources,

cutting costs, and building a better community together!

Drop off your donations at ReStore or Schedule a Pick- Up here!
