Dear Habitat Friends and Neighbors,
As April comes to a close, we reflect on the warmth of togetherness it brought. Our staff's calendar was brimming with meaningful events in the community. From our annual Building Hope Gala to partnering with UnitedWay for Super Tax Day, from home dedications to preparing for our upcoming project, Rock the Block, and hosting our volunteer appreciation event, we've been bustling with activity. This year, we're especially proud to celebrate 35 Years of Building Homes and Hope in the Community.
Our annual Building Hope Gala was a true highlight, raising over $800,000 to guide our partner families towards brighter futures. There will be more news to follow that event, however please see what Paper City Woodlands had to say. With hearts overflowing with gratitude, we celebrated the completion of new homes, knowing they were crafted with love and teamwork. A massive thank you to our incredible volunteers and home sponsors; your unwavering support is what makes these dreams a reality.
Speaking of our amazing volunteers, Rock the Block is happening this week. It's a program designed to empower communities and promote unity by bringing neighbors together to improve their streets, all at no cost. A special thank you to LGI Homes and our other generous partners for their invaluable support.
Amidst our joy, we also carry a heavy heart as we mourn the loss of one of our beloved ReStore team members, Brent Nelson. Our thoughts are with Brent's family during this challenging time. His dedication and spirit will forever be cherished.
During the month of May, let's embrace the fresh energy of National New Homeowners Month. It's an opportunity to celebrate the dreams realized through homeownership and eagerly anticipate the journeys yet to come.
Thank you for being an integral part of our Habitat MCTX family.

Their steadfast support goes beyond sponsorship, with extensive volunteer services and generous donations, perfectly aligning with our goal of providing safe, decent, and affordable homes for families in Montgomery County, Texas.
Notably, John Cooper School joins hands with Habitat MCTX for our Veterans Build initiative, where they contribute by handpainting veterans' walls in patriotic colors - red, white, and blue. Last week was bustling with activity, and it is with immense gratitude that we extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who walked through our doors or supported us in any way. Your contributions, whether big or small, make a significant impact on our ability to serve our community.
During the April Home Is The Key Campaign, your generosity shone brightly. Together, we raised a remarkable total of $1,233.85 through 315 donations. This incredible achievement would not have been possible without your kindness and support. Through Home Is The Key, our national cause campaign, supporters like you are instrumental in helping more families unlock the doors to homeownership – a vital key to stability, intergenerational wealth, and prosperity. Home truly is the key to a better future. It is not merely a privilege but a fundamental need. Decent and affordable housing are essential elements that significantly influence a family's education, health, wealth, and overall well-being. Sadly, not every household has equal opportunities to achieve these essential foundations for success. Your continued support enables us to make strides towards addressing these disparities and creating positive change within our community. Once again, thank you for your generosity, compassion, and commitment to our cause. Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families in Montgomery County, Texas.
