• Your current housing is inadequate
  • You have tried and are unable to obtain housing through conventional methods
  • Issues with the present structure, water, electrical, heating system, or sewage services
  • You live in overcrowded housing
  • You must pass a criminal background check


  • Evaluation of how much you currently spend on housing
  • Sufficient credit score
  • Your annual total income should be between 30-60% of the median income for Montgomery County

Habitat Partnership

  • Attend at least one homeownership information meeting
  • Contribute “sweat equity” to help build homes
  • Complete financial counseling
