Apply for Our Homeownership Program
Thank you for your interest in Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County TX’s Homeownership Program! The February 3 - March 3 application cycle has ended. All applications in progress must be submitted by March 10, along with the necessary supporting documents, to be considered.
Qualifications
- Your current housing is inadequate
- You have tried and are unable to obtain housing through conventional methods
- Issues with the present structure, water, electrical, heating system, or sewage services
- You live in overcrowded housing
- You must pass a criminal background check
Financials
- Evaluation of how much you currently spend on housing
- Your annual total income should be between 40-80% of the median income for Montgomery County
Habitat Partnership
- Attend at least one homeownership information meeting
- Contribute “sweat equity” to help build homes
- Complete financial counseling

- Personal Finances and Household Budgeting
- Homeownership Management
- Home Repair and Maintenance
- Pest Control
- Lawn and Garden Care
- Fire and Home Safety
- Property Owner’s Association Membership
- Home Safety
- Construction Safety
