Construction Volunteers Working

Join us to make a difference in the lives of your Montgomery County neighbors! With your help, Habitat MCTX can make decent, affordable housing a reality for low—to moderate-income families in your community. Whether you volunteer on the construction site, assist with administrative duties and special events, or want to work with our team at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, your investment of time empowers local families.

Construction Volunteers

New construction and home repairs are two of the most well-known ways to volunteer at Habitat MCTX. However, these spaces fill up fast! Volunteer spots are available to build sponsors first, then to single-day sponsor groups. We have available Construction Support opportunities, which you can find on our Volunteer Hub.

ReStore Volunteers

The Habitat MCTX ReStore is a vital part of our organization, serving as both a community hub and a resource for funding our mission. At the ReStore, volunteers play a crucial role by assisting shoppers and donors, ensuring smooth operations and a welcoming atmosphere. There's never a dull moment at the ReStore, as there are always various projects and tasks to tackle, from organizing merchandise to helping customers find the perfect items for their needs.

For those who love to tinker and get hands-on, the ReStore is truly a paradise. It offers a wide array of unique and affordable home improvement items, furniture, appliances, and building materials. Whether you're a DIY enthusiast, a bargain hunter, or someone looking to contribute to a good cause, the ReStore provides a treasure trove of opportunities. Every purchase and donation helps to support Habitat MCTX’s efforts to build and repair homes, creating a positive impact on our local community.

Building Hope Gala Volunteers

Many of our events are brought to life by our incredible team of dedicated volunteers. These local non-profit events, organized by Habitat MCTX, are essential in supporting our mission to build and repair homes for our partner families. One of the standout events is our annual Building Hope Gala, held every spring since 2011. This gala is the largest single annual fundraiser for Habitat MCTX, bringing together community members, supporters, and donors for a night of celebration and philanthropy.

If you're passionate about event planning and want to make a significant impact, consider selecting "Event Coordination" on our volunteer sign-up form. By joining our team, you'll have the opportunity to help organize and execute events that not only raise crucial funds but also raise awareness for the vital work we do in Montgomery County, Texas.

Homeowner Services & Support Volunteers

An integral part of Habitat MCTX is the process of qualifying and approving applicants for our program. Upon approval, the family support team steps in to encourage and assist the family throughout the process.
